My Vodafone App
One of the easiest ways to deactivate Vodafone subscriptions is to install the operator's official app, which is available for Android, iOS and Windows 10 Mobile and allows you to easily manage all the offers active on your line.
If you haven't downloaded the app yet My Vodafone on your smartphone, open the device store (Play Store if you use Android, App Store if you use iOS or Microsoft Store if you are using Windows 10 Mobile), search "my vodafone" within the latter and proceed to install the app My Vodafone city by tapping first on its icon and then on the button Ottieni / Installa. If you are using an iPhone, you may be asked to verify your identity using Touch ID, Face ID, or entering your Apple ID password.
Once the download is complete, start the app My Vodafone e pigia prima sul pulsating Accept to accept its terms of use and then on the button Go to the app to skip his initial tutorial. Now you have to choose whether to automatically authenticate in the app, turning off Wi-Fi and then connecting to the Internet via the 3G / 4G network, or whether to create an account for Vodafone's online services, by pressing the button Subscribe. If you choose to register for Vodafone online services, after pressing the "Register" button, you must enter your mobile number, press the button Confirm number and follow the instructions on the screen. You will be asked to type in a verification code that you will receive via SMS and, at the end of the procedure, you will get a username and password to access your account.
Once logged in, to manage the offers active on your SIM, all you have to do is press onhamburger icon located at the top right, expand the menu Proposal that appears on the side and select the item Active offers from the latter. Browse, therefore, the list of active offers on the line, identify the one to be deactivated and press the button Manage relating to the latter.
In the screen that opens, make sure there is a check mark next to the item disable (otherwise affix it yourself), press the button Confirmation And that's it. You will be able to continue to take advantage of the offer until its natural expiration.
If you do not want to manage your subscription, but you want to find out if there are any paid services active on your line (eg value-added services that, often, are activated "by betrayal" by visiting a site via the data network or services " extras "of Vodafone that you may not be interested in), presses thehamburger icon located at the top right of the My Vodafone app, expand the menu Proposal that appears on the side and selects the item Active offers. Scroll, therefore, the screen that opens up and down, tap on the item Digital services and find out which services are active on your SIM.
If you find any VAS (value added services) active on your line, request their deactivation from a Vodafone consultant by contacting the operator at 190: you will find out how to do this in the last chapter of this tutorial.
Vodafone website
Another solution you can rely on to manage the offers active on your line is the Vodafone website which, through its area do-it-yourself, allows you to view - and possibly disable - all the plans and services active on your SIM.
To access the Do-it-yourself area of the Vodafone site, connect to Vodafone.com, move the mouse cursor over the tab do-it-yourself located at the top right and click on the button Log in present in the box that appears on the screen. Then type in the combination of username and password needed to access your account and that's it.
If you have not yet created an account on the Vodafone website, move the mouse cursor over the tab do-it-yourself located at the top right and click on the button Subscribe present in the box that appears on the screen. On the page that opens, type yours cellphone number in the appropriate text field, click on the button Confirm number and follow the instructions given to you to complete the registration procedure (you will need to type a confirmation code that you will receive via SMS). If you need more precise information, you can refer to my tutorial on how to register on Vodafone.
Once you have registered and logged in, click on the item Active promotions located in the box Your SIM and a page will open with the list of all active offers on your line. To manage your subscriptions, expand the menu Basic offer, locate the offer you want to deactivate and press the button Manage relating to the latter. On the next page, make sure, therefore, that there is a check mark next to the item disable e pigia his Confirmation to complete the operation.
If your intention is not to deactivate Vodafone subscriptions, but to check the list of paid services active on the line, click on the item Active promotions located in the box Your SIM, select the link Cost check from the left sidebar, then Digital services and check if, in the list of active services on your SIM, there are unwanted elements.
In the event of a positive outcome, that is, if unwanted services are active on your line, contact the 190 and request their deactivation from an operator: you will find explained how to do it in the next chapter of this tutorial.
Vodafone telephone assistance
Are you a little "technological" type and, therefore, do you prefer the classic telephone assistance service to the Vodafone app and site? No problem, now I'll explain how to use that too.
If you want to deactivate one of the active subscriptions on your Vodafone SIM, contact the 42071 and follow the instructions of the guide to disable the plans you do not want. For example, if you are told "To deactivate [offer name], press key 1", press key 1 on your smartphone's virtual keypad and confirm. The automatic renewal of the offer will be deactivated and you will be able to continue to use it until its natural expiry (e.g. until the end of the month).
If 42071 does not list the offer you want to deactivate or you want to get rid of the VAS (the paid services that are activated, often "treacherously", on the mobile phone line), contact the 190 and follow the instructions of the voice guide to get in touch with a human operator.
At the time of this writing, the combination to type to speak to a human operator is as follows, but be careful as it may change at any moment: first, you need to request assistance for the mobile pressing the corresponding key on the phone keypad (which should be the1), after which it is necessary to request theassistance from a consultant (option that should correspond to the key 4) and, finally, you have to ask to talk to Vodafone (by pressing the corresponding key, which should be the 3).
I remind you that, in the case of VAS, you can request a refund of the amount spent for their activation (provided that this has not occurred for more than 7 days) and theirs inhibition, so as not to fall victim to it again. For more information on deactivating VAS, see my guide on how to deactivate subscriptions.
If you are unable to contact Vodafone via its telephone support channel, you can try to send a message to the operator via Facebook or Twitter. To contact Vodafone on Twitter, you need to send a public tweet to the account @VodafoneIT (without entering personal data in the latter), wait for the operator's customer care response and continue the conversation in private. A Vodafone consultant will help you dispel all your doubts as quickly as possible. Finally, I would like to point out that you can also contact a Vodafone consultant via the chat system in the My Vodafone app: I told you about it in more detail in my tutorial on how to chat with Vodafone.
