Preliminary information
Before getting to the heart of this tutorial and explaining, in detail, how to activate Sky Go on tablet, it will be useful to know that the service in question, which allows you to access the viewing of the packages included in your subscription also from computers and mobile devices (up to a maximum of 2 devices but not at the same time), is available free of charge for Sky customers from at least one year.
If, on the other hand, you have recently subscribed to Sky, you can still watch the contents of your subscription from your computer, smartphone and tablet by activating Sky Go Plus at the cost of 5,40 euro / month. In addition to the ability to associate up to 4 devices to your account, the Plus version of Sky Go also allows offline viewing of downloaded content (via the Download & Play) and the possibility of seeing a live program that has already started from its inception.
Having said that, if you are a Sky customer, all you have to do to activate Sky Go on your tablet is to download the Sky Fai da te app for Android tablets and iPads and then start playing a channel on Sky Go to log in with your Sky ID and enable your device to view the content included in your subscription.
If, on the other hand, you are not yet a Sky customer, I suggest you connect to the pay TV website, click on the button Create subscription and follow the instructions shown on the screen to activate a subscription by choosing the packages of your interest. Activate Sky Go on Android tablet
activate Sky Go on Android tablet, start the Play Store using its icon on the home screen of your device (the colored ▶ ︎ symbol), write "Sky Fai da te" in the search field located at the top and press the button Search.
Now, locate the app in question in the search results (it should be the first result), tap on the icon Sky Do it yourself and press pulsating Install, per avviare il download e l'installazione dell'app.
Once the download is complete, press the button apri, to open the application, then tap on the item Log in and enter the data associated with your Sky ID in the fields Email or username e Password. If, on the other hand, you haven't created your Sky ID yet, choose the option Create your Sky ID, insertion and date richiesti nei campi Client code, Tax Code, Email address e Password e fai tap sul pulsating Continue, but I will complete the registration.
After logging in with your Sky ID, tap on the item Promotions visible in the sidebar on the right, tap on the box related to Sky Go present nella sezione Services and, in the new screen displayed, press the button Add Sky Go.
Now, if you haven't done it yet, start the Play Store again and download the application Sky Go. Once the download is complete, tap the relevant button apri, press onpreview image of one of the Sky channels available in the section On air now and tap the ▶ ︎ button.
In the new screen that appears, press the button Log in, enter your Sky ID data in the fields Username or indirect email e Password e fai tap sul pulsating Log in to access Sky Go with your Sky ID and associate the tablet in use with the list of devices with which you can watch the contents of your Sky subscription. Alternatively, select the option Settings in the left sidebar, choose the item Log in and, in the new screen displayed, enter your login details in the fields Username or indirect email e Password, to log in to Sky Go with your Sky ID and start watching the content of your interest.
It will be useful to know that, from the Sky Go settings, you can also manage the devices associated with your Sky ID. Then press on the item Settings e seleziona l'opzione Manage devices. If you prefer to do it via the Sky DIY app for tablets, start the latter, press on the item App management and locate the section devices.
Now, if your intention is to remove your tablet from the devices associated with Sky Go, click on the icon basket relative to the tablet and that's it. You should know, however, that you can only replace one device per month.
Activate Sky Go on iPad
All you need to do to activate Sky Go on iPad is to access Sky's DIY area with your Sky ID and enable the service in question, then just download the Sky Go app and log in for the first time to add your iPad to devices enabled to view Sky Go .
To proceed, start theApp Store, facendo tap sulla sua icona (the White "A" on a light blue background), tap on the item Search, visible in the menu located at the bottom, and write "Sky DIY for iPad" in the search field above.

Once the download is complete, start Sky Fai da te for iPad by pressing the button apri, then tap the button Log in, enter your login details in the fields Email or username e Password and press pulsating Log in, to log in and manage your Sky subscription. If, on the other hand, you don't have a Sky ID yet, click on the option Create your Sky ID and follow the instructions shown on the screen to complete the registration.
On the main screen of Sky's DIY area, tap on the option Promotions visible in the sidebar on the right, locate the section Services and tap on the item Sky Go. Premium, quindi, sul pulsating Add Sky Go, to include the service in your subscription, and that's it.
If you don't see the box for Sky Go, it means that the Sky service is already included in your subscription and activation is not required. To confirm this, press the ☰ button located at the top right (or return to the main screen of Sky Fai da te for iPad), select the option My subscription and, in section Active products on the subscription, make sure that Sky Go is present among the active services.
Now, all you have to do is start theApp Store and download the Sky Go repeating the procedure I described above to download the Sky Fai da te app for iPad. After downloading and installing the app in question, start it by tapping its icon (the green ▶ ︎ symbol on a blue background) and, on the main screen, locate the section On air now.
Then access one of the channels currently on air by pressing on its immagine d'anteprima, tap the relevant ▶ ︎ button and choose the option Log in. In the new screen that appears, enter your Sky ID details in the fields Username or indirect email e Password and press pulsating Log in, to access Sky Go, associate the device in use with your Sky ID and occupy one of the available slots.
Activate Sky Go Plus on tablet
If you are wondering how to activate Sky Go Plus on tablet, you will be happy to know that the procedure is identical to what I indicated in the chapters dedicated to activating Sky Go on Android tablets and activating it on iPad.
To proceed, launch the app Sky Do it yourself, log in with your Sky ID and select the option Promotions in the sidebar on the right. In the new screen that appears, tap on the option Sky Go Plus visible in the section Services and press pulsating Add Sky Go Plus, to add the service in question to your subscription.
Once the activation of Sky Go Plus is complete, start the Sky Go app for Android or iOS), press theimmagine d'anteprima of a channel available in the section On air now, tap the ▶ ︎ button and choose the option Log in.
