It is the concept of a browser that the company is sure will radically change the experience of living the web. Opera Neon, already available for those who want to try it, is not an update of the Opera browser for desktop that we all know, it is a completely new project that throws everything that until yesterday we took for granted in the trash.
Opera Neon it includes functions that defining innovative and original is an understatement. There are features never seen in other browsers such as blocking advertising banner it's a free VPN connection (Virtual Private Network), that is a sort of geographical extension of a secure private local network capable of connecting internal sites, especially at the corporate level, located in the four corners of the world. But, for us "normal" users it represents a kind of second desktop which, unlike that of the operating system, however, allows us to organize all our online activities. Let's see it in detail.
Tab in full force
(Taken from YouTube)
Opera Neon it presents itself with a look and a structure that has never been seen before. The browser is basically made up of tabs - tab in jargon - positioned laterally on the right of the screen in the form of circular icons - and an options bar (tool) on the left. The whole central part of the browser, on the other hand, is intended to online browsing. The tabs can be dragged to the center in order to allow the simultaneous viewing of multiple sites and the use of various web services. In short, websites become a sort of ready-to-use applications with a simple click of the mouse. The configuration then remains in memory, and is proposed again at the next restart.
All activities under control
Tabs are just one of the two “faces” of Opera Neon: the second is the options bar (tool) - in plain sight on the left - which offers numerous functions. It allows, first of all, to open a new tab (tab) and, so far, nothing special, but also to manage a myriad of sources of audio / video streaming via a player with the traditional Play and Pause commands. The browser is able, however, to automatically recognize the reproduction of the various multimedia contents present in the various open tabs and organize them in a single solution. Streaming can also be paused and the tabs "silenced". A function that is missing, for example, in the browsers currently in circulation. Another interesting feature is the ability to capture screenshot - simply by manually selecting the section to save - and publish them with a quick drag-and-drop, for example, on Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram or other social networks or services instant messaging or email. Finally, there is also a section dedicated to easy-to-access downloads.
Features you don't expect
Last but not least, is the split screen. What is it for you will ask: to split the screen left and right by clicking and holding the pointer on one of the open tabs and then drag it to the center and resize it as desired. Are you curious? Opera Neon it can be downloaded for free from the manufacturer's page for Windows and Mac.
