How to turn off iMessage on iPhone
If you still have yours iPhone handy, you can turn off iMessage in a really easy way. First, enter yours SIMs. inside the phone (if not already there) and make sure that the device has successfully established the connection to the cellular data network.
Then access the settings iOS device (the gear icon located on the main screen of the device) and, in the menu that opens, select the item relating to Messages (it's halfway down the screen, so you'll have to scroll a bit to find it). At this point, move up OFF the lever for the option iMessage (so that it turns gray) and that's it.
Now you have disabled iMessage but not FaceTime, the service for making free video calls between Apple devices, which can also affect the failure to receive SMS when switching the SIM from an iPhone to a smartphone of another type.
To turn off FaceTime, go back to the menu settings iOS device (the gear icon located on the home screen), select the item related to FaceTime (located in the middle of the screen, next to the message page) and move up OFF the lever for the option FaceTime (so that it turns gray).
Mission accomplished! Now you have deactivated iMessage and therefore you will return to receiving standard SMS on your number, even if the person who sends you the messages uses an iPhone.

Make sure, therefore, that in the smartphone you currently use there is inserted a SIM associated with the same number that you used on the iPhone (and on which you had activated iMessage). In case of problems or second thoughts
Despite my suggestions you still haven't managed to disable iMessage? It seems strange. In any case, do not throw in the towel and try to contact Apple support directly.
To contact Apple support, connect to the Internet site of the Cupertino giant and click on the button relating to theApple ID. Dopodiché selects the voice iCloud, FaceTime and Messages from the page that opens e schedule a call with Apple by pressing the appropriate button.
In this way you can make a telephone appointment with an Apple technician and ask him for explanations on the deactivation of iMessage on your devices.
Alternatively, if you prefer online media over the phone, you can contact Apple Support on Twitter at the @AppleSupport account. The service is only available in English, so you will need to send a message in this language. The technicians of the Cupertino company should answer you shortly. If any steps are not clear to you and / or you want more information on how to contact Apple, take a look at my post on the subject.
