If you want to resort to more "drastic" solutions, you can disable google News by completely uninstalling its application. Again, to do this, all you have to do is go to your smartphone or tablet's settings and go from there.
To begin, therefore, start the Android Settings app by pressing thegear icon located on the home screen or in the drawer (the screen that groups all the applications installed on the device), select the item applications from the menu that opens and, if necessary, presses on the card all(or All apps) located at the top.
At this point, select the name of the application you want to uninstall, ie Google News, tap the uninstall button present in the App Info screen and confirm the operation by answeringOK to the question Do you want to uninstall or disable this application.

How to disable Google News on iOS

Disable Google News notifications
With disable Google News notifications on iPhone and iPad, you have to go to the iOS settings and select the options you prefer regarding the latter, to disable them completely or mute them.
To proceed, therefore, start the iOS settings app by tapping the gray icon representing the gear present on the home screen of the device, then tap the Notifications item and, in the screen that opens, locate the item Google news and then press on it.
To disable all notifications from the Google News application, slide to OFF the switch located in correspondence with the wording Allow notifications(located at the top). If, on the other hand, you want to disable only the notification sounds, move to OFF the switch located in correspondence with the wording sounds.
Uninstalling the Google News application
to uninstall the Google News app on iOS, know that you can do so by acting both from the home screen of your device and from the operating system settings. Find everything explained in detail below.
If you want to act from the home screen of your iPhone or iPad, find theGoogle News app icon present on the latter and makes a long tap on it.
