All you need to do for activate Amazon Prime Video for free is to connect to Amazon, log into your account (or create one) and activate the 30-day (or 90-day, if you are a student) free trial of the Amazon Prime service.
Remember that, at the end of the promotional period, the chosen subscription will automatically renew: to avoid incurring unwanted costs following the trial month, you must deactivate the automatic renewal of Amazon Prime within 24 hours prior to the natural expiry of the promotion.
Give smartphone and tablet
If you are interested in activating Amazon Prime Video from smartphones and tablets, follow the instructions that I am going to provide you below, valid for Android e iOS / iPadOS.
Android
The easiest way to sign up for the service is to go through your browser and activate the Amazon Prime free trial period from there. To be able to do this, start Google Chrome or in any case the browser you use on your device, connected to amazon.com and touch the button Log in, to log into your account, then enter your Amazon profile credentials.
If you have not yet registered on Amazon and you do not have an account, tap on the item Create an account, insertion il tuo name, cellphone number (or theemail address) and the Password to use to access the service and press the button Continue to verify the data entered (by typing, in the appropriate field, the confirmation code received via e-mail o SMS). Once logged in, tap the ☰ button located at the top left, press the option Try Prime in the sidebar that appears on the screen, tap the button Sign up now, 30 days free and fill out the proposed form by entering yours Payment details: enter, therefore, the name that appears on the credit card, the number of the same and the Expiration date, then tap the button Add your card to move on to the next step, which consists in indicating the data relating to the main address / residence (name and surname, address, city, province, POSTAL CODE e telephone number).
To conclude, fai tap sul pulsating Sign up now, month for free and that's it: starting from this moment, Amazon Prime is active on your account and you can take advantage of the Prime Video service for free for a period of 30 days.
If, on the other hand, you are a university student and intend to activate Amazon Prime Video (along with all the other services included in Prime Student) free for 90 days, connected to the website dedicated to the initiative, tap on the item Sign up for 90 days at no additional cost and, if you haven't done so yet, log into your Amazon account.
Next, indicate theuniversity email address in the appropriate field, specify the expected graduation year through the drop-down menu Year of completion of studies and, if necessary, specify your details payment card and yours billing address, as seen above. Finally, tap the button Sign up - 90 days at no additional cost And that's it!
Now that you have an Amazon account enabled to view Prime Video content, you can finally download the Amazon Prime Video app from the Play Store (if you don't know how, see my tutorial on how to download apps on Android): after launching it, enter your profile credentials in the fields provided and tap the button Log in.
At this point, you just have to browse through the categories proposed by the service and immediately start viewing the content that interests you, by tapping on the relative preview and pressing the button Play [episode].
iPhone and iPad
For iPhone e iPad, you can proceed in two different ways: by activating a new subscription to Amazon Prime or by subscribing only to the Amazon Prime Video service (therefore without all the other benefits of Prime), which, at the time of writing this guide, costs 3,49 € / month with a free trial period of one month and direct debit on iTunes Store.
If you are interested in taking the first option, you must perform the same steps already seen for Android and, at the end of the registration, access the Prime Video app using the credentials of the Amazon account associated with Prime.
If, on the other hand, you want to subscribe only to Prime Video, do this: download the app on your iPhone or iPad (if you don't know how to do it, see my tutorial on how to download apps on iPhone), tap the button Create a new account, insertion il tuo name,email address it's a Password to log in to the service and tap the button Create your Amazon account. Now, enter yours cellphone number in the appropriate field, tap the button NEXT and completes the identity verification by entering the code received via SMS.

In order to avoid incurring unexpected costs, if you do not intend to continue with the subscription subscribed through the iTunes Store, remember to deactivate it at least 24 hours before its natural expiry. To do this, go to the menu Settings> [your name]> Subscriptions and locate Prime Video among those listed in the section ACTIVE / ACTIVE. When you are done, click on the button Add your card, fill in the next screen with your details billing / delivery, presses the button Use this address to save the information entered and, to conclude and activate the free trial of Amazon Prime, click on the item Sign up now, month for free.
If you are a student and intend to take advantage of the 90-day free trial period, you can sign up for Prime Student following the same procedure seen in the previous section.

Once the Amazon Prime activation phase (and, consequently, the Prime Video service) has been completed, you can use it immediately by connecting to this website: to do so, click on the icon of thelittle man located at the top right, select the item Log in from the menu displayed on the screen and log in to the service using your Amazon account credentials. So use the menu Explore to navigate between category of the service and, once you have chosen the content of your interest, click on its preview and then on the button Play [name], to start the vision.

How to activate Amazon Prime Video on TV
see Amazon Prime Video on Smart TV, you must first make sure that the same is compatible with the official app of the service: at the time of writing this guide, all televisions with operating system are supported Android TV, as well as some devices equipped with a proprietary branded operating system Sony, Samsung, LG, Xiaomi, JVC, Vice, TCL, Konka, HiSense, Philips, Sharp, AOC, Changhong, Haier e Vestel. That said, in order to activate Amazon Prime Video on TV, you must first create a Amazon account with active subscription to the Prime service, following the instructions I gave you in the previous chapters of this guide.
Later, if you have not already done so, connect the Smart TV to the Internet via Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi, using the menu of Network Settings on board the same: if you need more specific instructions on this, take a look at my guide on how to connect the Smart TV to the Internet.
Once this has been done, you must necessarily download the streaming service app using the TV's default store: sui LG, for example, start LG Content Store pressing the key Home on the remote control and selecting the appropriate icon, locate the app in the market, then press the button Install and start it, by pressing the icon that, in the meantime, has been added to the Home bar of the TV.
Once the app is launched, using the on-screen keyboard, enter theemail / phone number and Password matched to your Prime-enabled Amazon account and that's it!
If, on the other hand, you have a non-Smart TV, you can take advantage of the Prime Video service using special keys or boxes to be connected via HDMI and installing, on them, the Amazon video streaming app: Fire TV Stick, Chromecast (via streaming from app for smartphones and tablets) or Apple TV. Additionally, the Prime Video app is also available on some branded Blu-ray players LG, Panasonic, Samsung e Sony (more info here).
How to activate Amazon Prime Video on PS4
Among the many devices with support for Amazon Prime Video video game consoles, such as the PS4. Before you can activate the application on the console, however, you must meet a series of prerequisites, which are listed below.
- You must have an account available Amazon with active Prime services; if you don't already have it, follow the instructions I gave you earlier to create one from your smartphone, tablet or PC.
- You have to make sure that the digital rights management system HDCP is active. To do this, go to the Settings pressing the icon in the shape of toolbox, access the item System and put the check mark next to the box Enable HDCP.
- The console must have been in advance connected to the Internet and must have a PSN account associated, as you need to go to PlayStation Store to download the app. If you haven't done so yet, you can fix it by following the instructions I gave you in my tutorial dedicated to connecting your PS4 to the Internet and in my guide on how to access PlayStation Network. However, a PlayStation Plus subscription is not required.
Once the console is properly "prepared", access its main menu and open the PlayStation Store (l'icona a forma di shopping bag). Now press on the item Search placed at the top, type "Amazon prime video" in the appropriate field and, after selecting the application box, press the button Download and wait for the download and installation of the same to be completed.
At this point, all you have to do is select the box TV and video, Press the button X of the pad and select the icon Amazon Prime Video among the apps listed. To conclude and immediately start viewing the content you prefer, log in to the application by entering theemail address and Password of your Amazon account.
